Binks 2100 Siphon Fed Spray Gun Cleaning Instructions - ICD High Performance Coatings + Chemistries

Basic cleaning instructions for a Binks 2100 siphon fed spray gun:

  1. Detach cup from spray gun
  2. Wipe the siphon tube clean
  3. Spray water through the spray gun and back flush through the siphon tube
  4. Repeat this process until water appears clean
  5. Pour any leftover material back into the bucket
  6. Thoroughly rinse out and clean the spray canister to eliminate any ability of cross contamination
  7. Disassemble spray gun
  8. Remove fluid adjustment screw
  9. Remove needle
  10. Remove air cap
  11. Place air cap in a cup of warm water
  12. Spray needle with isopropyl alcohol and wipe clean
  13. If available, use the cleaning kit brushes that come with the spray gun
  14. A soft bristle toothbrush can also work for cleaning
  15. Brush and clean the air cap
  16. If available, use the correct brush from the gun cleaning kit to run through the spray gun
  17. A small pipe cleaner sprayed with isopropyl alcohol will also work
  18. Assemble the spray gun back together
  19. Screw on the air cap
  20. Insert needle
  21. Screw in fluid adjustment screw
  22. Attach siphon cup
