OPACI-COAT-300® Mixing Overview - ICD High Performance Coatings + Chemistries

ICD produces quick videos for Glass Fabricators to accelerate their onboarding process. This OPACI-COAT-300® Mixing Overview video shows and describes how to appropriately mix the OPACI-COAT-300® glass coating.

Prior to using OPACI-COAT-300®, it must be gently agitated.

A dispersing or mixing blade must be used for the best dispersion.

Place mixing blade 1 to 2 inches from the bottom of the bucket. Aggressive or fast mixing speeds may cause excessive air entrapment and foaming. Excessive air entrapment may irreparably damage the product.

Gently mix product for 5-7 minutes to ensure all pigments are evenly dispersed.

Thoroughly clean the mixing blade after each use to avoid contamination.

Note: Wastewater is not disposed in public waste stream.

Remember to always mix OPACI-COAT-300® before you transfer or apply it.

ICD formulates and manufactures water-based coatings, resins, and chemicals in the US Pacific Northwest. We believe the world is a better place when innovative, green, sustainable products are specified and utilized. To support this, we offer education that explores why product performance and material selection matter. We are seen as experts in silicone coating technology and provide sustainable solutions where none previously existed. Topics include ultra-low VOC’s, the difference between solvent-based and water-based formulations, how coatings can be developed for improved energy reduction in the fabrication process, how ideal performance characteristics are achieved and more.
